Hoop Dreams

Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 September 2026

Hoop Dreams: Path to Glory is a single-player game. It has no accounts, no login, and no friends list. Your career lives on your device. This page explains the small number of things that do leave it, and why.

What stays on your phone

Your saved careers, your settings, your custom courts and jerseys, and everything you do in the game are stored locally on your device. We cannot see them and we do not upload them. Deleting the app deletes them.

What leaves your phone, and only when you choose to

Leaderboards. If you submit a career or a single game to the leaderboards, we receive the player name you created, the username you typed, your player's appearance, the level you were playing at, and the statistics from that career or game. We do not receive your real name, your email, or anything that identifies you personally. Submissions are voluntary and tied to an anonymous, randomly generated identifier for that career. A submitted entry is public: other players can see it on the boards.

Push notifications. If you turn notifications on, your device is issued a delivery token by Apple or Google, which is passed to Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send game news and reminders. We do not ask for permission until you choose to turn notifications on, and you can turn them off at any time in your phone's settings. The token identifies your device for delivery only and is not linked to your name or your careers.

Services the app uses

What we do not do

Removing a leaderboard entry

Because submissions are anonymous, we cannot look up an entry by your identity. If you want an entry removed, email us the player name and username shown on the board and we will take it down.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will move and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
